Human Male Reproductive System / CLASS 10 AND 12 NCERT

⦁ HUMAN MALE REPRODUCTIVE SYSTEM-:

⦁ In male human body reproductive system located in the pelvic region and system is made up of two main parts.

A.) ESSENTIAL ORGANS.

B.) ACCESSORY ORGANS. 

These are one pair of TESTIS situated outside the abdominal cavity within a pouch called Scortum.

SCORTUM--:

----> It is a special type of pouch enclosed testis and maintain  the tempreature of testis above 2.5 degree celsius less  than  body tempreture ,required for SPERMATOGENESIS. If through any accidental mechanical injury scortum is disturbed, Spermatogenesis stopped and sexually behaviour of the male change the strile.

⦁  STRUCTURE OF TESTIS--:

----> Each testis is oval in shape about 4-5 cm long and 2-3 cm wide.

----> Each testis is coverd by a dense covering and each made up of about  250 compartments called as TESTICULAR LOBULES each lobules is        made up of about 3 SEMINIFEROUS TUBULES.

⦁  T.S OF TESTIS (Transverse Section Of Testis)

----> Under microscope testis inteous shows following features--:

A.) SEMINIFEROUS TUBULE.

B.) MALE GERM CELL.

C.) SERTOLI CELLS.

D.) LEYDIG CELLS.

----> Each SMINIFEROUS TUBULE has primary germ layer made up of germ cell take part in SPERMATOGENESIS hence called male germ cell.                        

----> Special type of cells found in Seminiferous tubule known as SERTOLI CELLS , provide nutrition during Spematogenesis.

----> Few cells present between seminiferous tubule called  LEYDIG CELLS secreate male hormones known as ANDROGENS.

⦁  2. ACCESSORY ORGANS--:

----> These are found associated with testis and help in reproduction hence, called Accessory organs.

1.ACCESSORY DUCTS.

2.ACCESSORY GLANDS.

3.EXTERNAL GENETALIA.

⦁ ACCESSORY DUCTS ARE AS FOLLOWS--;

1. RETE TESTIS.

2. VASA-EFFERENTIA.

3. EPIDIDYMIS.

4. VAS-DEFRENCES.

----> Rete testis -- Small, thick duct  directly attached to the Seminiferous tubule . 

——> It receive sperms from Seminiferous tubule.

----> Vasa- Efferentia -- Is long thin, quad and narrow tubule linked to Rete testis, transport the sperm to Epididymis.

----> EPIDIDYMIS -- Is long, broad and quad outside seminiferous tubule and carry the sperm to the Vas-Defrences

----> VAS-DEFRENCES -- It is much long, wide, thick and receive the sperm from Epididymis which ascends to the abdomen and loops over the urinary bladder.

----> Vas-Defrences also receive a duct from seminal vesicle and opens into the Urethra. Act as Ejaculatory duct , all ducts are store and transport sperm from utside through urethra, finially extends through Penis and opened in Urethral Meatus.

2. ACCESSORY GLANDS--:

----> These are three in number known as male accessory glands are as follows-:

1.SEMINAL VESICLES (2)

2. PROSTATE GLANDS (1)

3. BULBOURETHRAL GLAND (2)

----> All three glands secreate their secretion known as Seminal Plasma .

----> Rich in Fructose, Calcium and certain Enzymes.

----> Hence, Seminal Plasma + Sperm = Semen.

 3. EXTERNAL GENETALIA--:

---->  In male reproductive system external genetal organ is found in the form of PENIS made up of special type of tissue, capable to erect during insemination through Penis.

---->  Enlarge end of Penis is called Glans is covered by a loose fold called Foreskin.
